

The DDI of Morón captured a gang of six people in the Carlos Gardel neighborhood. In addition, they seized weapons, drugs and cash.
After several raids in El Palomar, DDI agents from Morón dismantled a gang made up of six criminals who were dedicated to stealing trucks in the West Zone. Most of those arrested are between 18 and 28 years old, except for a 40-year-old woman who was wanted for a crime committed a month ago in Ituzaingó.
The investigation began after the theft of a truck in Ituzaingó, on January 7, when the thieves threatened two men at gunpoint who were chatting in the street and took the vehicle. In addition, the assailants threatened the two men to give them their belongings.
Faced with this, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested the collaboration of the DDI of Morón, and from the images, together with other evidence, the investigators managed to identify the main suspects in four homes in the Carlos Gardel Neighborhood. For its part, the prosecutor’s office initiated the raids.
The arrest of the gang in the Carlos Gardel Neighborhood
As a result of the operations, the agents seized several objects of interest, including three cell phones, clothing, a .38 caliber revolver, 24 packages with a total of 4.2 grams of cocaine and the sum of 183,250 pesos in cash.
These items were seized as evidence of the robberies perpetrated by the detainees, who were prosecuted on charges of aggravated robbery and possession and trafficking of narcotics. The detainees were young people aged 19, 25 and 18, arrested on charges of aggravated robbery.
The latter had already been arrested on January 31 for a case of aggravated homicide, illegal possession of weapons and attempted homicide, with the intervention of the UFI Nº 7 of Morón. Finally, the other criminals aged 40, 28 and 21 were charged with drug trafficking.
