Federal agents from the Homicide Division arrested a man who was a fugitive from justice in the seaside city of Mar del Plata, accused of the murder of a 37-year-old psychologist.

The incident occurred in the Golf Chico neighborhood of the town of Pinamar, inside the victim’s home. There, in May 2012, she was approached by an individual for robbery, a situation that resulted in a shot to the clavicular region that caused the immediate death of the woman.

Later, and after various investigations, suspicions fell on a 37-year-old subject nicknamed “Pipa.” However, the required evidence that would allow his capture could not be found on this individual either. In this context, the Attorney General’s Office of the Judicial Department of Dolores, headed by Dr. Diego Bensi, requested the intervention of the Homicide Division of the Argentine Federal Police to investigate the case.

In this way, the extensive investigations carried out by the agents over several days determined that the suspect resided in Mar del Plata and that, at the time of the homicide, he belonged to a criminal organization that was dedicated to stealing in the absence of residents in the areas of Pinamar and Villa Gesell. Likewise, it was proven that he used an account on the Mercado Libre and Mercado Pago platforms, used in different stores that he frequented.

With all the evidence provided, the Juvenile Court No. 1 of Dolores, headed by Dr. María Fernanda Hachmann, ordered the arrest of the suspect. In this way, the police officers set up a discreet surveillance in the city of Mar del Plata, achieving his arrest on the public road on Alvarado Street.

It should be noted that he had another arrest warrant issued by the decentralized Court of Guarantees No. 6 of Villa Gesell of the Judicial Department of Dolores, for the crime of “Theft in real competition with fraud through the use of a credit or debit card.”

The detainee, an Argentine adult, was placed at the disposal of the intervening magistrate in the framework of the case entitled “Homicide – Illegal possession of a weapon of war.”
