In order to prevent crime, the authorities of Moreno carry out different operations in the district together with the provincial Ministry of Security.
Through the Secretary of Security in coordination with the Provincial Municipal Security, the Municipality of Moreno carried out a series of prevention operations in different points of the district with the objective of reinforcing vehicle control and preventing crime.
From the Municipality they explained that the actions began with a vehicle control operation in Moreno Centro, developed jointly by the Secretary of Security, the Secretary of Transit and Transportation and the Departmental Headquarters.
Likewise, special forces of the Province of Buenos Aires deploy controls in strategic points of the district. In recent days, static and dynamic operational controls were carried out in Francisco Álvarez and Cuartel V, which were supervised by the Secretary of Security of the Municipality of Moreno, Ismael Castro, together with the Director of Coordination of the Ministry of Security, Sandra Scianca, who highlighted the reinforcement of the district’s security.
The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, explained that “under Plan 9010 we deployed another Operation Lock to hit where it hurts the most: drug dealers, hitmen and organized crime. We arrived with the forces ready, with prior intelligence and with the firm decision to sweep away violence.
Criminals cornered. Zero impunity,” and added that “this is just beginning, not one step back.”
In the context of these measures, the renewal of the fleet of the Patrol Command of Moreno was carried out with the incorporation of 21 new vehicles, of which six were acquired by the local Government by decision of Mayor Mariel Fernández. This measure allows for the coverage of all the district’s grids and the replacement of units that, due to the constant activity and pursuit of crime, were showing a high level of wear and tear.
