The Homicide Division of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) arrested a man in the last few days who had been a fugitive from Justice for nine years and was hiding in the town of Ramos Mejía, north of the La Matanza district, just as happened this weekend in the Lomas del Millón neighborhood.
The case in which he is accused had its origin on August 5, 2016 in the city of Paso del Rey, east of the municipality of Moreno, where the subject was going with a partner at the time to buy a container with various merchandise to resell in the Federal Capital.
However, at a certain point he stopped the car and began to demand that his partner give him all the money they had with them, which led to a heated argument and an attack with a knife in the face of the victim’s refusal to hand over the bills.
After stabbing him several times in the arms and abdomen and stealing not only the money, but also other personal items, the suspect threw the victim into the public road at the corner of Misiones and Entre Ríos streets to escape. Fortunately, a group of neighbors assisted the injured man and took him to a nearby hospital: after being hospitalized for a month, he miraculously recovered and was discharged.
After a long time without finding the whereabouts of the person involved, prosecutor Leandro Ventricelli requested the intervention of the force dependent on the Ministry of National Security, which undertook a series of field and intelligence tasks based on the analysis of social networks, e-commerce platforms and virtual wallets.
