Lights. Nstalled new lights in four urban corridors of the city The mayor of Hurlingham, Damián Selci, installed new lights in four urban corridors of the city so that residents “feel safer.”
Within the framework of the Plan for the Recovery of Green Spaces and Pedestrian Corridors, the mayor of Hurlingham, Damián Selci, installed new lights in the Cañuelas Norte and Sur corridors, O Brien, Aristizábal and Paseo de los Eucaliptos. In parallel, and to have safer streets, the administration installed more than 7,000 lights throughout the district in 12 months.
“In the summer we continue working so that the neighbors can take advantage of these green spaces and feel safer every day,” said Selci, adding that “more lighting means more security. The initiative is part of the Plan for the Recovery of Green Spaces and Pedestrian Corridors, through which more than 80 new lights were installed this week alone. 54 of these new lights were placed in the Cañuelas Norte and Sur corridors.
The measures aim to improve the security of the city, so that neighbors can walk, meet and play sports with greater peace of mind in the green areas of Hurlingham.
On the other hand, from the Municipality other improvements took place in the Paseo de los Eucaliptos, where it was a priority to light the internal walk with 12 new light poles. In the Aristizábal corridor, 15 new lights were placed to better illuminate the street between Vergara and El Ñandú; and 18 were the new lights that were placed in the O Corridor. Brien, a popular space for residents to play sports when the sun goes down.
With these policies, the municipality is moving forward with the Lighting Replacement Plan, which has already installed 7 thousand new lights in the district. “One of the commitments of our administration was that Hurlingham would be illuminated again,” said Selci. This replacement with equipment with state-of-the-art LED lights aims to enhance public spaces, illuminating streets, corridors and green spaces.
