Last weekend at the Paraná Entre Ríos circuit belonging to the club of steering wheels in rianos chaired by Omar guri Martínez, the first date of the National Championship of motorsport tourism took place between February 21 and 23. The perimeter layout inaugurated in 1997 by the road tourism witnessed the race of the two classes that take place in this contest
With a total of 47 cars in the lower class and 37 in the higher class, the show was carried out, completing a total of 84 vehicles on the track.
Class 3
With a pace that was unattainable throughout the weekend, the driver from the city of Pergamino in the province of Buenos Aires managed to win the first round of his corresponding series that was contested over six laps yesterday morning after having achieved the best time on Saturday in the classification, which earned him first place in that series along with his vehicle distinguished with the number one, while the winners of the remaining partial shows were Julián Santero, piloting a Toyota Corolla and Facundo Chapur piloting a Citroen C Elysee all over six laps.
The final:
In the final the pace was exactly “Flying” taking more than 5 seconds from his closest rival “hammer” throughout the 20 laps since there was no interruption or neutralization, while in second place was José Manuel Urcera with a Ford Focus and third Julián Santero with a Toyota Corolla.
The controversy:
Hours after the event occurred on the track the pilot José Manuel Urcera (husband of the famous and well-known model Nicole Neumann) denounced the then winner for an alleged “overtaking” on the track in front of the traffic light wanting to gain seconds something that still could not be proven, for which the team of sports commissioners extended until Tuesday 25 the final verdict and the official resolution. Meanwhile, an attempt is being made to analyze whether or not there was an overtaking at the green light by the winner of the competition.
