The mayor of La Matanza and president of the Argentine Federation of Municipalities (FAM), Fernando Espinoza, announced that during these holidays and New Year’s Eve, local government workers will receive a special bonus as an extraordinary salary reinforcement of 260 thousand pesos, to continue to accompany the brutal loss of purchasing power produced by the policies implemented by the national government.
After the decision and the respective signing of the municipal decree, Fernando Espinoza stated: “During these holidays, we want to bring peace of mind to the Christmas table of our municipal workers, and the guarantee that they have a local government that will continue to support them, that will always protect their salary, and that values the work they do so that La Matanza continues to move forward.”
“Although the national government continues to take measures that plunge Argentina deeper and deeper into a terrible crisis, which cruelly and directly affects our people, we, in La Matanza, have an unwavering commitment and we work so that our neighbors have an efficient municipal State, which faces with great effort the new challenges, such as the growth of food assistance and the withdrawal of medicines from our retirees,” Fernando Espinoza emphasized.
“Due to the increase in the demand for food, we have had to double food assistance, and increase the number of soup kitchens from 800 to 1,200. In addition, after President Milei’s brutal cuts to the medicines of the “Retirees, we have increased the delivery free of charge for all senior citizens, and without receiving a single peso from the national government,” he added.
It is important to highlight that this end-of-year bonus, an extraordinary salary reinforcement, complements the increase granted after the last salary review, which kept the salary of employees at 7 points above the inflation index. The sum of 260 thousand pesos includes the fixed quota of 40 thousand pesos that had been granted since last year and that will now be officially incorporated into attendance.
“I fervently hope that these holidays find us more united, with more empathy, with peace, bread and work, and that social justice always embraces every worker in La Matanza and throughout Argentina,” concluded Fernando Espinoza.

El diario Noticias Con Objetividad, popularmente conocido como Diario NCO, es un medio de comunicación gráfica con sede en el Partido de La Matanza, provincia de Buenos Aires.
Bajo la dirección hasta la actualidad de Oscar Roberto Pettinato, comenzó a emitirse el lunes 7 de septiembre de 1992. El diario tiene su lugar en la historia ya que es el primer medio gráfico de La Matanza en emitirse de forma ininterrumpida de lunes a viernes de forma impresa y los siete días en la web.
Un sello también distintivo es que además de ser un medio de comunicación, Diario NCO es una escuela de periodismo. Incluso, varios de sus integrantes se formaron mientras desarrollaban su vocación. Por este motivo, también abre sus puertas a estudiantes de los primeros años de la carrera, para que puedan definir su estilo, mejoren su nivel de redacción y aprendan la dinámica específica del trabajo de la prensa gráfica.
Al medio le interesa plasmar en sus páginas los mensajes de todas las voces y aunque en el periodismo la palabra “objetividad” está sujeta a controversias, Diario NCO la toma como una inspiración, es por eso que la lleva en su sigla y en su lema.
Esta forma de encarar la profesión llevó a que en el año 2010 fuera reconocido por el Honorable Concejo Deliberante (HCD) de La Matanza como de Interés Municipal y que en 2015, el Observatorio de los Derechos de Las Personas Con Discapacidad de La Nación distinguiera, tanto al diario como a la periodista Melisa Correa, por la intensa labor de difusión de la temática.
