

This weekend, different towns in the West Zone will dress up to celebrate the 2025 carnivals. Below is the itinerary for Merlo, Ituzaingó, and Morón.
In the framework of the carnival celebrations, this weekend, the community of the West Zone will be welcomed with live music, murgas, gastronomy and more. “We invite you to be part of this great tradition, where local artists and murgas will fill every corner of our district with vibrant rhythms and shows for the whole family,” municipal entities expressed.
Local murgas will be the protagonists of the festivities and neighbors will be able to enjoy the days of celebration, with free admission. Below is the complete schedule.
Merl
Friday, February 21: Los Iluminados de Santa Isabel (Pirandello and Lafayette). Saturday, March 22: Carnaval del Puente (Belgrano between Dorrego and Guardia Vieja), Rebeldía Carnavalera (Barrio Los Eucaliptus between A. Ferrari, Newbery and Las Margaritas) and Los Iluminados de Santa Isabel (Pirandello and Lafayette)
Saturday, March 1: Presentation of carnival groups at the Casa de la Cultura (Padre Espinal and Calle Real). Sunday, March 2 and Saturday, March 8: Presentation at the Cultural Park of Padua (Av. Pres. Juan Domingo Perón 23850).
Ituzaingó
The organizers indicated that during the days the neighbors will be able to enjoy the colors, the joy, the music and the dance of the carnival, while they discover the stories behind each group that will give life and identity to the neighborhoods.
“Avivando la locura”, Saturday, March 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., in Plaza Barrio Nuevo (Fitz Roy between Facundo and El Chacho). “Los, las, les que quedamos”, Sunday, March 2 and Monday, March 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., on Bv. Fleming and León Bloy.
“Los pirados del Oeste”, Tuesday, March 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., on Fragata Sarmiento and Ramírez. As for “Los incorrigibles de Ituzaingó”, Saturday March 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., at Bermejo and Tres de Octubre.
Morón
On the other hand, the Fest Feria organization announced that they will celebrate the carnivals in Plaza San José, located at Burgos and Solari, this weekend, with murgas, comparsas and the participation of renowned artists such as Grupo Karicia. Below are the details of the event:
Friday February 21: urban night, rock and roll competition, murgas and comparsas, Saturday February 22: Los Avila and Echale Agua, guest artists, murgas and comparsas. Sunday February 23: Grupo Karicia, guest artists, murgas and comparsas.
Meanwhile, three from the UGC of El Palomar announced that on Saturday, February 22, from 7:00 p.m. they will celebrate the carnivals in Derqui and Dolores Prats, with a parade of murgas, a live musical band, Waloffina Candombe, a craft and gastronomic fair.
