The Juvenile Criminal Responsibility Court number 2 of Morón sentenced this weekend the three people responsible for the crime of surgeon Juan Carlos Cruz that took place on August 10 of last year on the south side of the city of the same name, which generated enormous commotion throughout the local community.
Just on the day that marked the first anniversary of the event, Doctor Marianela Tschiffely ordered that one of them spend the next 11 years and 10 months in prison, while the other two will do the same for nine years and nine months. “We cannot say that justice was done, but at least there was some relief for his family,” said those close to the murdered doctor regarding the sentences imposed on the criminals, who, because they are minors, could not receive life imprisonment despite being accused of the crime of “homicide criminis causa.”
The fatal episode occurred on Lanús street at 3,500, between Gregoria Pérez and Cartagena and half a block from Eva Perón Avenue (Provincial Route 17), in the Patagones neighborhood, and the victim was one of the professionals at the General Acute Hospital “Professor Doctor Ramón Carrillo,” located in the Tres Febrerense town of Ciudadela.
The health worker was cornered when he was taking an air conditioner out of the trunk of his car. At that moment, one of the assailants shot him in the head and killed him practically instantly.
