In an operation carried out by the Argentine Federal Police, dependent on the Ministry of National Security, an 18-year-old man was arrested, accused of being the author of the murder of the driver of a travel application in La Matanza.
The raid was carried out in a property located at Rodrigo De Triana 3400, between Lacarra and Mariano Acosta, in the Villa Soldati Complex in the City of Buenos Aires, at the request of the Criminal Court of Rogatorias, in charge of Dr. Alejandro Adrián Litvack. During the procedure, officers from the Morón Federal Operational Unit Division broke into the home and proceeded to arrest the accused, who was with two other people.
The man was wanted nationally and internationally for his alleged participation in the crime of a 31-year-old Uber app worker, murdered in González Catán. According to the investigation, the attack occurred when the victim tried to escape from an attempted robbery and was shot in the back, which caused his death. The man was left lying on the street, a few meters from his vehicle.
In addition to the arrest of the suspect, other evidence was seized, including five cell phones, cards, documentation and clothing that would have been used in the crime. Also seized was a 36mm caliber “pistol” without a brand or number, cartridges of various calibers (36mm, 38mm short, 380mm, 45mm, 32mm long and 357 Magnum) and an electronic payment device.
The procedure involved the intervention of the La Matanza Departmental Headquarters of the Buenos Aires Police. Thanks to the work of criminal intelligence and the analysis of records from the travel application, it was possible to track the suspect’s movement and locate his whereabouts.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the La Matanza Homicide Prosecutor, Claudio Fornaro, to be investigated for the crime of homicide aggravated by the use of a firearm.
