More than 35 thousand girls, boys and adolescents from all over La Matanza have been enjoying since January 2 one of the proposals carried out by the Government of La Matanza, in this case, together with the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, for the 2025 holidays.
All the girls and boys of La Matanza and the province can enjoy the Open Summer Schools, which have pedagogical, recreational, playful, sports, artistic and aquatic activities in the different public school institutions.
Through the Summer Schools, the local Government, led by Mayor Fernando Espinoza, and the Provincial Government, through the General Directorate of Culture and Education of the province of Buenos Aires, guarantee a comprehensive and free alternative for students during the summer holidays.
The days include breakfast and lunch, a food service in the dining room aimed at covering the nutritional needs of the child and adolescent population; and a great educational-recreational proposal from teachers.
In addition, the girls and boys who attend the Summer Open Schools can also enjoy the pools of the sports centers of La Matanza to complete the initiative, with lots of fun and enjoyment.
In La Matanza, more than 150 schools operate as Summer Open Schools, which receive more than 35 thousand girls and boys between 3 and 17 years old, from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This initiative is added to the district’s Summer Colonies that currently receive more than 80 thousand girls, boys, young people, people with disabilities, retirees and pensioners in the different areas of the district. In this way, in La Matanza summer is enjoyed with education, sports, art and lots of fun for the entire community.
