This hospital was inaugurated during the pandemic to treat patients with coronavirus, but is now undergoing a refurbishment process together with the UPA N°9.
The Hospital Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires announced that it is continuing with the refurbishment process for one of the most important health nodes in the Hurlingham district, which is located in the Dos de Abril neighborhood of the town of Villa Tesei.

These are the Prompt Care Unit (UPA) number 9 “Papa Francisco” and the Modular Hospital N°6, located on Veragua street at 4,000 and between Mar Chiquita and Gabriel de Aristizábal and which had originally been built by the national government with the intention of treating patients with coronavirus in the hardest stage of the pandemic.
However, as this demand has already been considerably reduced, the provincial government is now transforming them to give them a new use and, in this way, “propose continuity in the care of chronic, limiting and life-threatening diseases.”
The intention is to convert it into a rehabilitation center for adults who have suffered a stroke (ACV) or head trauma and have respiratory pathologies that limit their motor capacity, with the aim of generating a network of care for all of them free of charge.
