In a police operation carried out in the Nicol neighborhood of Virrey del Pino, the criminal gang known as “Los Rapi” was dismantled, dedicated to robbing delivery drivers. The procedure culminated with the arrest of seven members of the group and the seizure of several items linked to their criminal activities.

The case began after the complaint of a victim, a delivery man who was assaulted by two men on a motorcycle. The criminals stole his motorcycle, a Gilera Smash, which had satellite tracking. Thanks to this technology, the police were able to locate the vehicle in a house located in block 53 of the aforementioned neighborhood.

According to police sources, upon arriving at the scene, the officers observed how the suspects brought the stolen motorcycle, along with another vehicle that they used as support, into the house.

Given this situation, an emergency search was carried out that resulted in the capture of the seven members of the gang: J. Rojas, 19 years old; E. Acosta, 17; L. Núñez, 20; C. Paz, 20; F. Núñez, 22; J. Zárate, 18; and M. Oviedo, 21.

During the operation, various items were seized that confirmed the criminal activity of the group. Among the seized objects were the stolen motorcycle, a Gilera Smash, another vehicle with an active seizure order since January 12, 2025, a motorcycle with its license plate number removed, and a firearm with four rounds of ammunition.

Security forces also found documents belonging to the victim, six cell phones, three motorcycle helmets, two thermal backpacks from the company “Pedidos Ya”, and the sum of 55,000 pesos in cash.

According to the investigation, “Los Rapi” operated mainly in areas frequented by delivery drivers, whom they assaulted to steal their vehicles as well as their personal belongings and work tools.

The case was handled by the Functional Investigation Unit (UFI) No. 12, which ordered the arrest of the suspects while the investigation progresses. This blow to crime seeks to bring peace of mind to delivery workers, who are frequent victims of this type of criminal activity.
