With just a few weeks remaining until the start of the official 2025 competitions, after physical preparation, the teams have begun their footballing fine-tuning. Almirante Brown played its first preseason friendly, visiting Rosario Central at the Gigante de Arroyito. Two matches were played, with victories for the Canalla in both: 3-1 in the first and 3-0 in the second.
The first team lineup included Ramiro Martínez; Natan Acosta, Agustín Dattola, Patricio Pizzaro, Tomas Villoldo; Santiago Gauna, Bruno Cenci, Diego Garcia, Joaquin Ibañez; Santiago Vera, and Gonzalo Flores, as set by coach Fabián Nardozza. The second team was Bruno Galván; Matías Pérez Acuña, David Ledesma, Leandro Vega, Mariano Arango; Ulises Abreliano, Joaquin Borja, Jose Escurra; Matias Belloso, Samuel Portillo, and Diego Perea.
The next friendly for the Mirasol will be on Wednesday, January 15, against Quilmes as visitors again. As for new signings, Tomás Villoldo and David Ledesma have joined the team. Both are returning to the club, with Villoldo coming from Deportivo Riestra and Ledesma from Quilmes. Leandro Vega, who recently played for Deportivo Maipú, has also signed.
Laferrere’s First Friendly
Laferrere also kicked off its football preparations, facing J.J. Urquiza in Loma Hermosa. Two 40-minute blocks were played. The first ended with a 2-0 win for Lafe, while the second was a 2-2 draw.
The match allowed coach Pablo Nieva to observe the new arrivals and finalize the squad, which continues to strengthen. Experienced center-back Facundo Gómez, who has played for Platense and Temperley, joined, as well as forward Mauro Cecreta, from Deportivo Quito in Ecuador. Additionally, 17-year-old Samir Mohamed signed his first professional contract and joined the preseason in Virrey del Pino.
Meanwhile, the club is continuing renovations at the Polideportivo on Route 21. As officially reported, the locker room used by the first team has been updated, weed removal has been completed, and work will begin on a total overhaul of the irrigation system and reseeding of the grass.
Italiano and Liniers Keep Strengthening
Sportivo Italiano has begun intense preseason training in Ciudad Evita under the guidance of newly appointed coach Jesús Díaz. Recently, Joaquín Rojas, who spent last season on loan at Deportivo Madryn in the Primera Nacional, returned.
Liniers has announced the renewal of coach Diego Herrero’s contract and the arrival of several reinforcements. Goalkeeper Rodrigo Fumo joined from Estudiantes de Buenos Aires, defender Farid Jasmi from J.J. Urquiza, William Giménez from Yupanqui, Mateo Gridel from Acassuso, Pablo Ramírez Greblo from Platense, and Juan Paglisi from Quilmes.
As for the continuities, Matías Linas, Rodrigo Dimotta, Ezequiel Gayoso, and Matías Rotundo renewed their contracts and will stay at La Topadora for the 2025 season. Youngsters Alejo Klipauka and Nicolás Cáceres also signed their first contracts.
Finally, regarding their preparations, the Villegas-based club announced that it will play seven friendlies. These will be on January 15 against All Haz, January 16 against Independiente, January 18 against All Boys, January 22 against Centro Español, January 25 against Temperley, January 31 against Deportivo Paraguayo, and they will finish on February 1 against Estrella del Sur.
Lugano and Paraguayo News
The teams from La Matanza in Primera C also continue their preparations. Lugano, which had already announced the signing of Diego Fassi, confirmed the arrivals of Alejandro Noriega, a 40-year-old forward recently with Real Pilar; Franco Maria, a 32-year-old central defender from Laferrere; and Facundo Forestieri, formerly of Juventud Unida.
Lugano’s preseason is taking place at the Don Bosco training ground, and it was confirmed that their official debut in the league will be on March 8. They will share Zone A with Alem, Club Mercedes, Claypole, Cambaceres, El Porvenir, Central Córdoba, J.J. Urquiza, Ituzaingó, Deportivo Español, Muñiz, Puerto Nuevo, and Berazategui.
Deportivo Paraguayo has not yet made official any signings, but their participation in the tournament is confirmed. They will play in Zone B alongside Atlas, Centro Español, Cañuelas, Juventud Unida, Victoriano Arenas, Yupanqui, Central Ballester, Camioneros, Sportivo Barracas, Argentino de Rosario, Estrella del Sur, Luján, and Lamadrid.
