More families in La Matanza have fulfilled the dream of owning their own homes, as part of the housing policies implemented by the local government.

Due to the abandonment by the current National Government, which halted public works, stopped sending resources to local districts, and cut the provincial budget, the Municipality of La Matanza invested over 200 million pesos to complete the construction of homes, continue advancing the urbanization project of the Las Antenas neighborhood in Villa Insuperable, and maintain the jobs of the work cooperatives in charge of the projects. During the handover of keys for the new homes, Fernando Espinoza warned: “Milei took 7.8 trillion pesos from the province of Buenos Aires, which directly and severely affects all municipalities. This brutal cut, in the case of La Matanza, takes away critical resources for security, health, education, and public works in the district.”

The mayor of La Matanza and president of the Argentine Federation of Municipalities (FAM), Fernando Espinoza, handed over new homes to families in the Las Antenas neighborhood, in Villa Insuperable. The delivery was made possible thanks to the investment by the local government, in the current context where President Javier Milei has halted over 600 projects in the district. In this context, the mayor stated: “Unlike Milei, we, in the Province of Buenos Aires and in La Matanza, have not stopped public works and continue moving forward because public works create thousands of jobs and are the engine of the economy.”

“Today is an unforgettable day for the families who, after much effort, can make their dream of owning a home come true,” said Fernando Espinoza, emphasizing: “The homes we are handing over have all the comfort and dignity that the families deserve.”

“As mayor, nothing makes me happier than sharing days like this, when I can hand over the keys to their homes to families who have been working and fighting to make this dream of homeownership a reality,” Fernando Espinoza said after touring the homes and speaking with the new homeowners.
“While President Milei, who is just as bad or worse than Macri, abandons the people in education, security, health, and development, we, in La Matanza, do the opposite,” Fernando Espinoza said, highlighting: “In La Matanza, we protect jobs, and we take care of, support, and will always be by the side of our neighbors.”

Finally, Fernando Espinoza stated: “In La Matanza, we move forward, and in this December, as the holidays approach, I want to tell all Argentinians not to lose hope, we will overcome this. The people will govern Argentina again,” he stressed.
