The Higher Council of the National University of Hurlingham (UNAHUR) has declared a “salary emergency” in recent days due to delays in salary increases for its staff, who “have lost 50% of their purchasing power so far this year compared to inflation,” according to an official statement.
Additionally, they have called on the Argentine government for “an urgent adjustment of salaries for teaching and non-teaching staff, and increased funding for scholarships, science and technology, and infrastructure,” following the resolution, which was unanimously approved at the meeting held on Wednesday, August 7.
“This impoverishment of our employees also means that some are leaving our institution and researchers are moving abroad, putting the functioning of the university system at risk,” said Jaime Perczyk, the rector of the academic institution based in Villa Tesei.
Meanwhile, the former Minister of Education of the Nation stated that the situation “particularly affects younger staff and those without seniority, who, due to salary guarantees, did not receive an increase in the first quarter of the current academic year.”

Under the direction of Oscar Roberto Pettinato, it began to be broadcast on Monday, September 7, 1992. The newspaper has its place in history since it is the first graphic media in La Matanza to be broadcast uninterruptedly from Monday to Friday in print and seven days on the web.
Another distinctive hallmark is that in addition to being a media outlet, Diario NCO is a journalism school. Several of its members were even trained while developing their vocation.
