In Argentina, a femicide is committed every 28 hours and in 2024 more than 200 were recorded: “Today more than ever we march in community to sustain what we were able to achieve and for the constant commitment to achieve a Morón free of violence,” the entities indicated.
Under the slogans #20AñosSostengaDerechos and #EstamosConVos from 4 pm, in Brown and Belgrano there were cultural and recreational activities; open radio; musical interventions and an entrepreneurs fair. Then, at 6 pm, the march took place towards the “Centro Vivir sin Violencia” (Living without Violence Center) where each of the victims of femicides was remembered.
In addition, the 19th anniversary of the Center was celebrated together with the community that was part of a musical meeting with the show of the composer and feminist activist, Tita Print (@tita_print).
With a powerful and unique sound, she displayed her repertoire that fuses cumbia, rap, hip-hop and techno. From the heart of the Mataderos neighborhood to the most prestigious stages, she made cumbia a sword to cross the sorrows by dancing.
