The Municipality of Escobar will begin executing one of the most important road improvement plans in recent years next Monday. This plan involves the concrete paving of 110 streets, with an investment of $7 billion, which will benefit access to seven popular neighborhoods and surrounding areas, significantly improving their connection to the town centers.
“During our administration, more than half of the streets in the district have been addressed, even amid various economic crises. Escobar continues to grow with works throughout the entire municipality, and it’s only a matter of time before they reach every house and neighborhood. This is what we work towards every day,” said Ariel Sujarchuk.
The paving plan, which covers 11,040 linear meters, equivalent to 110 streets, will be carried out in the neighborhoods of Amancay and Las Rotondas in Maquinista Savio (3,130 linear meters), El Ruso and Parque Norte in Garín (2,000 linear meters), El Matadero and Stone in Belén de Escobar (2,990 linear meters), and the 1º de Julio neighborhood in Matheu (2,920 linear meters).
In addition to the paving, hydraulic works will be carried out in all the areas to be intervened, addressing potential water drainage issues during heavy rains.
The streets to be paved and the neighborhoods to benefit from the plan were selected according to the National Register of Popular Neighborhoods, and the works will be carried out through an agreement with the Provincial Organization for Social and Urban Integration (OPISU).
