Starting next month, the bus fare will be more expensive. Then it will begin to be updated month by month according to inflation and an additional 2%.
The Government of the Province and City of Buenos Aires announced that starting in March, a 10% increase will be applied to the price of the bus ticket for the lines that circulate through the AMBA (Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area).
In this context, both in the province of Buenos Aires and in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, once the increase is implemented, the minimum fare will go from $371.13 to $408.23. It should be noted that in the Province the measure will affect all lines from 200 onwards.
On the other hand, in the Province of Buenos Aires a new automatic adjustment scheme was established that will be applied from April of this year. In this sense, the bus fare will be modified monthly according to the inflation measured by the INDEC (National Institute of Statistics and Census), plus an additional increase of 2%.
In March, the bus fare in AMBA increases: how much will it cost?
As of Saturday, March 1, the fare values will be as follows:
0 to 3 km: $408.24 with registered SUBE / $649.11 with unregistered SUBE / $183.71 with social SUBE.
3 to 6 km: $454.78 with registered SUBE / $723.11 with unregistered SUBE / $204.65 with social SUBE.
6 to 12 km: $489.82 with registered SUBE / $778.81 with unregistered SUBE / $220.42 with social SUBE.
12 to 27 km: $524.89 with registered SUBE / $834.57 with unregistered SUBE / $236.20 with social SUBE.
It should be noted that in the City of Buenos Aires, the discounts for social fares and combinations in less than two hours through the SUBE Network will remain in effect, while on the Buenos Aires lines these benefits do not apply.
