In opposition to the stagnation of public works promoted by the national Government, the district led by Fernando Espinoza continues to carry out works, this time to expand and improve the squares, so that the neighbors of all ages continue to have this recreational space in their city as a point of reference and meeting.
In the plan to enhance public spaces, 80 squares in the 17 cities of the district have already been remodeled, including modern facilities. The squares of La Matanza are reconverted through reforms that contribute to the improvement of each of the cities of the district, with the objective of generating the well-being of the neighbors, who now have new spaces for multiple dynamics, sports and entertainment, free of charge.
The remodeling includes the construction of amphitheaters, sports fields, landscaping, playgrounds for girls and boys, an area for exercises a rest area, athletics tracks; the installation of LED lights, drinking fountains; in some cases, solar points that offer the possibility of recharging electronic devices and powering lights through the use of renewable energy, and citizen protection totems with a security button that connects the neighbor with the Municipal Operations and Monitoring Center (COM).
The mayor of La Matanza and president of the Argentine Federation of Municipalities (FAM), Fernando Espinoza, said: “In the face of the abandonment of the national government, we put the well-being and happiness of our people first,” and stressed: “While some say that there is no need to do more works, we, from La Matanza and from the Province, will continue generating public works that are more development and sources of work for our people.”
It should be noted that a factor that prevails in the transformation of the district’s squares is the space given to the fairs that have the purpose of protecting entrepreneurs. In this regard, Fernando Espinoza stated: “In these complex times, we continue to promote inclusive public policies in each city, to support everyone, and improve the quality of life of families in La Matanza.”
