After announcing that bus fares in AMBA will increase from next Monday, August 12, the Government also indicated that, from September, the discount for
combined trips, known as the SUBE Network for bus lines in both CABA and the
Province of Buenos Aires, will be eliminated.
In this regard, the Secretary of Transportation, Franco Mogetta, in a presentation at
the Transportation Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, stated that "starting
next month, the City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires will take
charge of the integrated ticket, which is the benefit of the SUBE Network."
In light of this, the 50% discount on the second trip and 75% from the third trip will
be eliminated for combinations made within a period of two hours. It is important to
note that this measure will cover 286 bus lines that are under the exclusive
jurisdiction of the City of Buenos Aires and the Province. In this sense, the SUBE
Network will continue to be in force on national lines, that is, those that cross from
one jurisdiction to another.
