This is what the leader of the FIT, Romina Del Plá, expressed. She will be present at the rotation of seats that her space will carry out in the local HCD. In addition, she gave some definitions at the national level.
At the beginning of the conversation, she valued the work of her colleagues in her space in their work as councilors in the District: “We will be there to accompany the rotation of the seats of the Left Front in the HCD of La Matanza. Both Juan Romero and Natalia Hernández have done an outstanding job.”
In line with the above, Del Plá emphasized that “the presence of the left in the Deliberative Council has given it a very intense dynamic, where the importance of the seats of our space was made clear, for being an independent voice, which exposes the local government and the false opposition.”
“The result of 2021 (having obtained two councilors in the HCD of La Matanza for the first time in history) was the result of the discontent that had been accumulating and that in 2023 there was a completely different expression, which believed in an easy and reactionary speech,” added the former deputy of the Argentine Nation for the province of Buenos Aires.
In turn, she indicated that the left can once again have an election similar to that of 2021: “We believe that what happened in 2021 with the left will happen again because we are present in the processes of struggle, because Peronism is exposed in its role of containment, playing first for Alberto and now for Milei, letting the adjustment pass.”
“There is a very strong discontent with those who governed”
Regarding the general reality that is currently being experienced, Del Plá stated that “there is a very strong discontent with those who governed and we will see what happens if the layoffs and the deterioration of the living conditions of the majority continue to advance, that is why I say that the polls do not reflect reality.”
It should be noted that Del Plá was a deputy of the Argentine Nation for the province of Buenos Aires between December 10, 2021 and June 26 of this year. She was succeeded by Mónica Leticia Schlotthauer, a railway unionist and politician, who entered due to the rotation of seats proposed by her political space.
Regarding the social relationship she perceives, she developed: “We talk face to face with the worker, the street thermometer does not tell us that the president has a support close to 60 percent.”
“If people don’t have anything to eat, they will go out to protest. If there are people who don’t agree, they should come up with solutions. Public opinion is very easily manipulated by powerful sectors, so we have to be careful with that,” concluded the leader of the Left Front
